making a mainpost about the revelation i had about some lyrics in litany of the martyrs !!!

i was listening to it one night while trying to fall asleep, and i noticed smth i thought was really cool

quincy sings “how does it feel to love your killers?” which, along with the religious background of it, can also later be applied to vincent after the pyre scene. we see a lot of it in the other side of failure with them and quincy!!

along with this, they sing “how does it feel to know you’re forgiven?” which can be applied to them after killing vincent, especially with vincent throwing away the bandages. quincy himself ends up being on that side of being forgiven!!

both of the lyrics where he asks how something feels can be applied to them down the line!! i think the foreshadowing of this is super cool :3

I’m thinking about the parallels between Quincy (ADAMANDI) and Vincent (ADAMANDI) and Sydney (CHNT) and Jedidiah(CHNT).

Quincy and Jeddie have some parallels and Sydney and Vincent have some as well

Quincy and Jeddie tend to overwork themselves. Quincy does it to try and be forgives for the present murders and Jeddie does it to not have his actions catch up with him with the whole “Sydney avoidance ordeal”

Sydney and Vincent both want to help the others but they don’t know how. Sydney feels like a burden and like Jeddie doesn’t need him, and Vincent desperately wants to help Quincy but gets caught up in the moment. They both love the other so much that it could leave them in ruin, and they would still do it.

Jeddie is scared that he’ll hurt Sydney, he feels like he already did. Sydney is afraid Jeddie will leave him, which Jeddie does bcs of his own fears.

Quincy wants to atone for Vincent’s actions, and it’s clearly hurting them. Vincent is trying to help Quincy with their project, but doesn’t realize the effects.

Vincent and Beatrix always cut each other’s hair since they didn’t feel comfortable letting anyone else do it. As the Phaethon goes on, both of them get really shaggy hair cause Bea is avoiding Vincent. Eventually Portia learns to cut Bea’s hair since she’s been just shoving it in a hat and suffering.
